HAPPY EASTER!!!

Last weekend we went up to the footy but we made a detour to some bookshops so I could find the Housewives and have a photo with them :)

I know, it's kind of silly, but I was in a book on a real shelf for the first time.

I was one of eleven in the book.

I can't wait until it's my very own book - I guess that'll be a while yet! LOL

The Housewives are at Target, Big W, K-mart, and selected bookshops. The bookshop had it for $15.99 and Target for $10. But I had to hunt around for it. My local shops didn't stock it (we're a prudish town!)

Lana is in print!!!

The lovely people at Harlequin have bundled the 11 Sydney Housewives up together and launched us into print, in one gorgeous glossy book.

We'll be out in Target and Big W, selected Dymocks shops and other booksellers, on 1 March, for (I think) $15.99.

I've never seen a book I'm in, live in a bookshop, so I'll be a lot excited to see this...I might even take photos :)

No idea how they'll sell...but it has to help that the 50 Shades movie is out now (I hope!).

Meet My Characters - blog hop

I was invited by Lisa Ireland to join a Blog Hop, introducing people to the characters in our books. You can read about Lisa's new story here - it's not out yet but let me tell you, it's a great rural story (I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek!)

Secret Confessions: Sydney Housewives Lana

Next week (20th) is the big release day for my part of the Secret Confessions: Sydney Housewives project. My heroine is Lana, and here's a little about her.

1. What is the name of your character?
Lana Driscoll, although she used another name in the past.

2. Is she fictional or an historic person?
She's definitely fictional!

3.When and where is the story set?
The story is set in Sydney, in the present day. Lana is a member of the upper class, social set in Sydney, Australia. The story makes use of the beautiful Sydney Harbour.

4. What should we know about her?
Lana is like no one I've ever known, which is why she was such fun to create. She's confident and independent. She's forged a career by hard work and dedication, and established herself in the high society of Sydney. She's loyal, but uncompromising. She lives life her way, and doesn't care what others think or say. She's not young, but she likes young men.

5. What is the main conflict? What messes up her life?
Lana doesn't have a messy life, she just has a secret life. This story allows us a glimpse into her secrets.

6. What is the personal goal of the character?
Lana wants pleasure. She has a fantasy that she hopes may come true, but she doesn't really expect it to happen. She's content with pleasuring young men.

7. Can we read more about it?

A Little About Lana
Lana is one of the older members of the Diamond Dinner Club. She's an actress, made famous in a soapie, but she's worked hard to earn her fame. Now she's where she wants to be, she can indulge in her passions, one of which is young men...or toy boys as others so rudely refer to them. For Lana, they're never a toy. She loves the passion of young men, and how quickly they can undress.

A Little About Me
This project was exhilarating but challenging. Exhilarating because I'd worked with most of these writers once before and I learnt so much from them. I was thrilled to be involved in another project. Challenging because I'm one of the 'babies' on the group in terms of writing, plus I'd never written anyone like Lana before.

I loved this project and I hope you'll love Lana.
